A Family Party Songbook already exists. I made about six of them and brought them to Columbus on our trip back there in July 2007. I gave them to all of the uncles and cousins I knew of that play guitar, since the binders also have the guitar chords with the lyrics. Check in with Dennis and Kevin Smith and some of the other guitar pickers in the fam. They are white binders that say "Family Party Songbook" on the front.

This is great! I would like to thank Tim for the "an cead" (the permission) to be apart of this great family Blog. Like Ryan I am using the Irish Word of the Day feature. I really like the part where you can see a picture of the person who wrote the text. My trouble is I have so many great pictures of myself that it been hard to pick just one. (just kidding) HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

New Daugherty Clan Blog (Repost for new arrivals)

After recently reading some emails going back and forth among some members of the Daugherty Clan, I thought it might be fun and helpful to have our own blog. Sort of a central place where we can all check for current family information.Thanks to the help from my son Ryan, we set up this blogspot. (Actually, Ryan did all the work . . . I just sat there saying inspirational things like... "It can really do that? ...no, really, can it?" .. and "How does this mousy thingy work again".. Duh)Anyway, we hope that most of our family members choose to use this blog to keep everyone else in the family up-to-date on whats happening within your branch of the family. As with all large families there are always plenty of births, engagements, promotions, and general happenings... oh yeah... and parties. Just general thoughts or comments are encouraged as well.It is my understanding that you can post pictures; video clips (Please keep it clean Dennis); and website links. We can have up to 100 contributors (those who can post a blog) .... To be a contributor you need to be invited.... I will be sending out invitations to D. Clan members for whom I have addresses. If you know other family who would like to contribute email me their name and email address and I will invite them to join( tef_43229@yahoo.com ).Keep in mind that anyone can leave a comment on a blog that has been posted by a contributor.For the heading, I used a photo of Alice Rita (Mom) with a few members of her fan club. I just wanted to thank all of the Feeney cousins for my new recording (voice mail recording) of Silent Night...brought to me at 4:30 in the morning. Apparently your party lasted a bit longer than our own...however, once Nikki posts the pictures of our fun I think it's safe to say you'll be a bit jealous =)
